MAROTTO'S Oh sweet friends .... hearken to me! We serve the freshest shellfish. Craving a clam for supper? For the seafood lover, Marotto's fine dining Restaurant, 3365 Delaware Ave. in Kenmore, offers a banquet of clams and oysters, steamed or raw. The ambiance is easy elegance. The restaurant caters to its water theme, with touches like a mural of lily pads in the dining area and paintings continuing into the kitchen. The clam bar also features, oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail, steamed clams, clams casino and corn on the cob. Clambar open May 1 thru September.
Owner Mark Marotto studied at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration class of 1982 and opened his restaurant in October 1985. His father owns DuBois Restaurant, the landmark restaurant located on Niagara Street. The staff is made up of professional chefs; the menu is stocked with beef, steak and chops along with some Italian dishes, if seafood isn't one's taste. Hot sandwiches are also offered for hearty lunches. In addition, a wet bar accompanies the clam bar, where patrons can have something cool to drink on hot summer days. Jim McBride has been chef at the restaurant 16 years. His specialty is fine soups, such as Mussel Scallion and a variety of bisques. He and Marotto have a friendly working relationship and enjoy the expertise each other provides. Marotto's also offers some music if customers ask, as he is a practiced harmonica player.
Our motif is easy elegance. Come hear the harmonica virtuoso for any and all occasions. We also specialize in small parties from 6 to 90 people. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Our hours are Monday through Saturday 11:00 am until 11:00 pm and Sunday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
